Tyquian Terrel Bowman, known professionally as Quando Rondo, has been sentenced to 33 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to a conspiracy to possess and distribute marijuana charge.

In addition to the prison term, U.S. District Court Judge R. Stan Baker ordered Bowman to pay a $40,000 fine and serve three years of supervised release following his incarceration. During this supervised period, he will be subject to regular drug testing, mental health treatment, and educational training, and he is prohibited from contacting known gang members.

Bowman is required to report to prison by January 10, 2025, and is expected to serve his sentence at either FCI Jesup or FCI Estill.

This sentencing concludes a federal case that began nearly a year ago when an indictment charged Bowman with conspiring to distribute multiple controlled substances, including methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana. As part of the plea agreement reached in August, the more severe charges were dropped, limiting the scope to marijuana-related offenses.

Following his plea hearing, Bowman issued a public apology to the people of Savannah and his family, acknowledging his mistakes and expressing a desire to serve as a better role model. He stated, “I did the wrong thing, and I’m getting punished for it. So, I want you to know that you actually get punished for doing wrong things. Just do the right thing.”

Known for his singles “I Remember” and “ABG,” as well as albums like “QPac” (2020) and “Recovery” (2023), Quando Rondo’s legal challenges have cast a shadow over his music career. Despite these setbacks, he has expressed intentions to use his time in prison for personal rehabilitation and planning for a more positive future.
