SZA’s ‘SOS’ Returns to No. 1 on Billboard 200 After Deluxe ‘LANA’ Edition Release

SZA’s sophomore album, SOS, has reclaimed the No. 1 position on the Billboard 200 chart following the release of its deluxe edition, SOS Deluxe: Lana, on December 20, 2024.

The deluxe edition introduces 15 new tracks to the original 23-song lineup, contributing to the album’s resurgence nearly two years after its initial debut.

In its return to the top spot, SOS earned 171,000 equivalent album units in the United States, marking its 11th week at No. 1 overall and the first time it has led the chart since March 2023.

This achievement also makes SOS the first album to have a gap of nearly two years between No. 1 placements on the Billboard 200.

The album’s initial release in December 2022 was met with critical acclaim, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spending ten non-consecutive weeks atop the chart.
