Lady Gaga’s ‘Abracadabra’ Casts a Spell on Hot Dance/Pop Songs With No. 1 Debut

Lady Gaga’s latest hit, “Abracadabra,” has soared to the top of the Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart dated February 15, marking its debut as the second-ever number one on this new chart. The song was first revealed during the Grammy Awards on February 2 and saw a wide release on digital platforms the same evening. Despite its late release in the tracking week, “Abracadabra” achieved impressive numbers, garnering 13.7 million U.S. streams and 10,000 downloads by February 6, according to Luminate.

This new track not only topped the Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart but also made a notable debut at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 in its first week. Ahead of her upcoming album “Mayhem,” set for a March 7 release, Gaga has already landed three top 40 singles from the album on the all-genre chart. This marks a significant return to form for Gaga, whose last album to achieve similar pre-release success was “Artpop” in 2013.

Gaga’s track record extends beyond her recent successes. She has previously topped the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart multiple times with hits like “Bad Romance,” “Born This Way,” and “Poker Face.” Additionally, her debut album, “The Fame,” continues to perform well, returning to the No. 2 spot on the Top Dance Albums chart in its 569th week, nearly two decades after its release.
