Atlanta is mourning the loss of radio legend and comedian Wanda Smith, who passed away at the age of 58. Smith was a beloved figure on V-103, where she co-hosted Frank and Wanda in the Morning alongside Frank Ski, becoming a fixture of Atlanta radio from 1998 to 2012. She later returned to work with Ryan Cameron and Frank Ski during various stints. Her vibrant personality and dedication to the community made her a fan favorite, and she was known for her kindness and passion for empowering young women through her organization, Girls Stand Together.

Tributes have flooded social media, with fans and fellow entertainers honoring her impact. Comedian Loni Love remembered her as a “staple in the Atlanta area” and a significant figure in the comedy world. V-103 expressed deep sadness, calling Smith a joyful presence who often worked behind the scenes to help those in need.

Smith’s legacy goes beyond her radio career; she was also a talented comedian who performed on Def Comedy Jam and starred in films like Madea Goes to Jail. Her passing leaves a significant void in Atlanta’s entertainment community, where she will be remembered as an icon.
