BLACKPINK’s Lisa has officially announced her debut solo studio album, ‘Alter Ego,’ set for release on February 28, 2025. This marks her first full-length solo project since her 2021 single album, ‘Lalisa.’

In the lead-up to ‘Alter Ego,’ Lisa has released three singles:

  • “Rockstar” (June 28, 2024): A hip-hop track with hyperpop elements, it achieved significant success, peaking at number four on the Billboard Global 200 and topping the Global Excl. U.S. chart.

  • “New Woman” featuring Rosalía (August 16, 2024): This collaboration blends pop and electronic sounds with trap influences, debuting at number 15 on the Billboard Global 200 and number six on the Global Excl. U.S. chart.
  • “Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me)” (October 4, 2024): Premiered during her performance at the Global Citizen Festival, this track incorporates an interpolation of Sixpence None the Richer’s 1998 hit “Kiss Me.”

The album’s cover art features a close-up of Lisa with blonde hair, exuding a confident and introspective aura.

In a recent interview with Billboard, Lisa expressed her excitement about this new chapter, stating, “In Blackpink, I’m the rapper, so I always rap, but now I have the opportunity to show the world that I’m capable of much more.”

‘Alter Ego’ is highly anticipated by fans and is expected to showcase Lisa’s versatility and growth as an artist.
