Kendrick Lamar, SZA & More To Perform At ’11th annual TDE Christmas Concert & Toy Drive’

Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) recently hosted its 11th Annual Christmas Concert and Toy Drive on December 12, 2024, at the Nickerson Gardens Housing Projects in Watts, Los Angeles. The event featured performances from prominent artists, including Kendrick Lamar, SZA, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, Doechii, Isaiah Rashad, SiR, Ray Vaughn, and Zacari.

The concert began with local openers at 1:00 p.m., followed by the main show at 2:30 p.m. Attendees were encouraged to bring unwrapped toys, new clothing, or shoes as donations for entry, supporting the Nickerson Gardens Housing Projects.

Kendrick Lamar’s performance was a highlight, as he was playfully swarmed by children on stage during his set, creating a memorable and heartwarming moment.

The following day, December 13, TDE organized a Community Giveback event featuring family-friendly activities, a job fair offering on-site employment opportunities, free haircuts, and holiday photos, further demonstrating their commitment to the local community.

This annual event underscores TDE’s dedication to giving back to the community and bringing people together through music and charitable initiatives.

SZA Releasing New SOS Deluxe Album This Week

SZA has released “SOS Deluxe: Lana,” an expanded edition of her acclaimed 2022 album “SOS.” The deluxe version, titled “Lana,” was released on December 20, 2024, and adds 15 new tracks to the original album, including collaborations with artists like Kendrick Lamar.

The album’s release was accompanied by a music video for the single “Drive,” featuring actor Ben Stiller. In the video, Stiller is seen lip-syncing and dancing along to the track, adding a unique visual element to the song.

“Lana” has been highly anticipated by fans, especially after SZA began teasing the deluxe edition shortly after the original “SOS” release. The new tracks continue to showcase her signature blend of R&B and soulful melodies, further solidifying her place in contemporary music.

In addition to the album release, SZA has announced a co-headlining tour with Kendrick Lamar, set to begin in April 2025.
