5 December 2024 – 11 December 2024

The Official UK Singles Chart reflects the UK’s biggest songs of the week, based on audio and video streams, downloads, CDs and vinyl, compiled by the Official Charts Company.

Welcome back to the All-Vibin’ Radio, where we’ve seen some spectacular music making waves! Today, we’re going to dissect some of the year’s most standout hits that have kept us moving, grooving, and feeling all the vibes.

Starting with “That’s So True” by Grace Adams That’s So True is the first UK Number 1 single by US singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams. Released on November 6 2024 via Interscope Records as the lead single from the deluxe version of Gracie’s second album The Secret Of Us. It also has became Gracie’s highest-debuting track in the UK, initially entering the Official Singles Chart at Number 19, before rising to Number 3 in its second week (becoming Gracie’s second Top 10 single) and rising to Number 1 in its third week, de-throning Gigi Perez’s Sailor Song and earning Gracie her first UK chart-topping single.

This track that’s been on everyone’s lips, “APT.” by ROSÉ & Bruno Mars. This single has it all: a contagious rhythm, an irresistible melody, and a collaboration so daring it’s impossible to ignore. It’s a testament to the genre-blurring trend that’s dominating the music scene, and cements ROSÉ’s status as a global star.

No festive season is complete without the iconic “Last Christmas” by Wham!, and “All I Want for Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey. These tracks perennially return to the charts, rekindling nostalgia, and reminding us of the emotional depth that music can evoke.

“Sailor Song” by Gigi Perez is a refreshing breath of air – a track that pushes boundaries and redefines the definition of a hit single. It’s a testament to the diversity and innovation in the music scene.

The delightful “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” by Brenda Lee, and the festive “Jingle Bell Rock” by Bobby Helms, are classic Christmas anthems that never fail to bring joy and togetherness, embodying the spirit of the season.

The powerful “Defying Gravity” by Cynthia Erivo featuring Ariana Grande is a stirring reminder of the transformative power of music. And the poignant “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” by Band Aid remains a timeless classic, highlighting the role music can play in raising awareness and sparking change.

Lastly, “MERRY CHRISTMAS” by Ed Sheeran & Elton John is a modern holiday hit that masterfully weaves tradition and contemporary styles, proving that the holiday music scene can still surprise us!

So there we have it, the tracks that dominated this year’s music scene. No matter the genre or era, these songs have proven that music’s power to connect, inspire, and warm our hearts is truly timeless.
